My hosting page is up. Version 1 is Pink Pearls. I luffle it. It’s small, retangular, and flat. I love it because it kind of reminds me of an invitation…

…and so I won’t take any insulting of it, lol. I felt like colour and colour it is! I find it amusing that it’s called pink pearls but is mainly red. XD

Mum’s coming home tomorrow (er, today). So I cleaned up the house. I should have done several other things, but I got up at 2…>.>

So I’ve been looking at the new design for the website, but I haven’t been able to find a picture I want to use. And I really, really want to use colours, but to do that I want/need to use a vector-y picture, because a picatoor is hard to use. Or, if I want to go for block colours, then a picatoor is the way. So I have the basic layout design, I just don’t have, well, the prettiness. I’m getting really intensely tired of this layout…I’m thinking of stripping everything from it until the new layout is ready.

But I have done the hosting design, and it shouldn’t really be too difficult to finalise. It’s pretty simple and it won’t have a lot of content.

As for Untruthatude [The Writing Site]…I prefer not to think about that yet. I’ll work on it later, lol.

And yes, I promise I will have Contact up very soon. I’ve started the opening story…I just have to write the rest.

I’m not one to get up on a soapbox for just anything. But Live Aid in 1985 was something that people didn’t forget when they lived through it. It was their contribution — their chance to try to help. People gave millions of dollars — and in the end it only covered one month of Africa’s debt. And now, here, today, we’ve got the chance to change that. We’ve got the chance to give millions of people a fair chance. People might cough and be cynical and say it won’t help, but the fact is that we haven’t done anything else to help and the cynical people were never the ones to change things. From July 6 to 9th, there’s a summit with the worlds leaders. We want to make a strong statement — who cares, who we care for, why we care, and how much we care.

Perhaps I sound like a promotional poster. I don’t care. For once in my life, this is something I’m truely passionate about. I’d rather be the generation that tried to make a difference than the kind that didn’t care.

Went out last night with some friends for my birthday dinner. It was great fun. The second year in the row that I’ve had a surprise while out for my brithday. We ordered dessert and when it came out mine had a sparkler on it. Then when we went to pay the waiter was like, “Oh, so you’re the birthday girl. How old are you?”

Me: 17
Him: Really? You look heaps older. You could have asked for a beer and I wouldn’t even have carded you.

Once I’d paid everyone said that he was spading with me, which was pretty cool.

I’m so ready to hit someone right now. I’m just so filled with a sense of ennui it’s driving me insane. I need to do something. Anything. I’ve been out constantly for quite a while now lunch on Sunday, dinner on Monday, from 6pm Tuesday until 2:30pm on Wednesday and I’m going out again tonight. But at the same time I’m feeling really restless, like I need to do something soon.

I don’t know what, exactly, but I figure that fact that I feel the need to hit things seems to imply something physical. Of course, that could just be because my brother is driving me insane — he’s just as bored.

And so we’ve been niggling each other for hours. Just blew up in a big fight, of course. But then, these are holidays, and this is what happens.

I’m so bored. ;-;

Woke up about a half hour ago [at 20 to 8]. Mum brought in some hot chocolate and some presents — they’d hidden them all, haha. Mum gave me this gorgeous dressing gown which is so warm and soft — because she couldn’t stand my old one (which was like 20 years old and a hand me down. XP) and it’s like sitting in a warm bath to be wearing it. I never knew that dressing gowns [or 'towelling robes', if you prefer] were so yummy.

My sister gave me two books, one a book by Douglass Adams — whee! — and the other is one called The Lady Who Was Beautiful, which was a little picture book and it was so sweet. It combined with the card actually made me have a little teary. She’ll call me soon, so I’ll tell her then.

And my brother! Now, my brother isn’t exactly the master of deception, and so I thought he hadn’t bought anything. Nope. He’d bought me something — the Foo Fighters Album! ^_____^ Isn’t he nice? Haven’t listened to it yet.

My birthday tomorrow. Thus the countdown is revealed. Not that anyone really cares — about the countdown, I mean. Not so sure I’ll have any presents, to be entirely honest. My sister’s hasn’t come yet, but she’s sent it, my grandma only realised it’s my birthday tomorrow today and so won’t have sent anything, and nothing else has come. I’m not sure whather my brother will have gotten anything. I don’t know about Mum. And my friendship group isn’t really the kind that gives gifts, lol.

But we’re going out to dinnner tomorrow night, which’ll be fun. And Mum’s making me a cake, yay! It’s going to be a typewriter. ^___^

I passed my learners exam! I have my Learner’s Licence! I am legally allowed to drive. Or learn to drive, at least. And on top of that, we had Spaghetti Carbonara for dinner and the Waffles and Chocolate Ice-Cream for dessert.

Also, I’m on holidays, too. This day is just fantastic. I’m going to do so much these holidays…I hope.

Schooling. Went back to school and got my marks for the semester — for most of them, at least. Drama I achieved B+ and B, Accounting A and B+ [1 and a half marks off an A! >.>], Maths I’m on C+,C,C, and as for English…

A1 for the assignment, baby! Which puts me on a B10 overall — sixth in the grade. Now all I have to do is keep this up…Which’ll be the problem.

Had the day off [Long live the Queen!] and finally got a chance to do some web browsing. Unfortunately had the good luck to stumble across some gorgeous sites design wise (and so consider these recommendations); Silent Mist, Solitary Confinement, A Different Sky, Furious Angel, Geek Goddess, Late Bloomer, Lemony Fresh, and Memories Fade.

The layouts are so clean but at the same time more complex than this one, and it makes me really want to change my layout…badly. Looks like something on the to-do list.

Well, at least you didn’t get beat up…or attempt to beat someone else up. Did you even have the shirts??

So, my records tell me I posted last on Thursday. Friday I went in for my exam block and man, was I freaked out.

But I got a B+ in German [Speaking] and the world is smiling!!

Also did Drama, German [Reading] and German [Writing]. Was I ever exhausted.

Saturday was the big Rugby Match, the O’Callaghan Cup. That article focuses on Grammar, but I’m actually on the opposing side. [Up the Griffin!] Unfortunately, we lost 26-20 in a really close match. It was 10 all at one point, and 13 all at another, and then they just slipped in in the last 10 minutes and took the victory. But it was a great game.

Then there was the afterparty. Most everyone was there and kind of [very] drunk. I was okay, but I had this conversation with a friend of mine about envy.

And it got me thinking. I’ve always sort of envied this chick because she’s so laid back and herself, and outgoing because she’s comfortable with herself. I’m not. And so I envy her. Thing is, though, that she envies me, for different reasons. She envies me for my academic ability and my drive to do things and because I’m “good at everything [I] do”.

So envy works both ways. I never really realised that the person I envy could envy me for being me. They say that most people are envied for something, but it can be hard to believe, and it kind of surprised me.

Had the wierdest dream last night. I dream I was having coffee with Mum, and then I went to the bathroom. Mum said to hurry because there was a “Cloud Storm” coming in, and they were very dangerous. I looked up and saw these huge clouds, and they were spitting out smaller clouds. It looked dangerous..and amazing. The pressure in the air started building and building. My head felt like it was being compressed, and then I looked in the mirror and saw that my nose had started bleeding. I knew then that we needed to get out of there.

I grabbed Mum, but it was too late. We hid in the bathrooms, hoping it’d pass over. I don’t know what happened, exactly, but when we came out it was amazing. There were red, yellow and grey cloudss all over the ground. Everyone was on buildings, but the gorund was covered and not safe to step on. Every so often someone would laugh and rock the boat and it’d crash against the [very solid] clouds.

…And then my BCT teacher rang me and woke me up, lol.

Exams went well, although I didn’t get to finish Accounting. [Not enough time. It was written as a 2 hour exam, then our teacher found out it was down for being an hour and a half. -.-'] BCT was a snap, I’ll be surprised if I don’t get an A. Did some German revision last night. Still scared. ;-;

Had exams today, the worst of the lot. English and Maths. Anyone for a groan of dread? English was horrible. I’m going to go so poorly, but as a friend says, there’s no use in post-stressing. So I’m just going to forget about it. In other news, Maths was hard but at the same time I think I did quite well. I found it difficult and there wre some questions that I didn’t know how to do, but I attempted them anyway, and I think I did okay.

Now, onto Accounting and BCT. I should be okay for those, I just have to remember the Qualitative Characteristics and the Accounting Assumptions, which are:

This List is the Funniest Thing For Anyone Who Wants to Get Published. Ever.

Stumbled across it about ten minutes ago. Skim through the comments, too, because they’re quite funny — and extremely worrying for anyone with the ambition to get published. The one about the Wonder Boys stunt should probably worry me, now that my friends are getting their liscences. Not much else happening here, but I’ll drop you a line tomorrow and see if I’m panicking then. Kiss kiss!

I believe the TGIF sentiment applies here in extreme amounts, simply because I’ve been thinking it’s Friday since Monday, and that makes for a long week.

Exam block starts next week, and my Accounting teacher said something today which kind of puts the whole stress thing into perspective; There are two kinds of people when it comes to exams. Those who stress before the exam, and those who stress in it. And I guess I’m taking that philosophy, because oh lordy! am I stressed. I know that if I can knuckel [spelling, anyone?] down this weekend, I’ll do fine.

And with that in mind, I went out tonight. >.> Thing is everyone’s been so busy lately and none of us have been out for ages. I love going out with the guys; more often than not I’m the only girl there. And if there are other girls, I’m the one who’s been in the group the longest, and I love each of the guys and they love me. Conceited? No. I’ve known most of them since Year 3, so it’s just natural, lol. And because of that, most of them are wrapped around my little finger. I love them all. They’re so gorgeous and brilliant and funny and smart and just…adorable, lol. Best friends a girl could have. So I got all dressed up and we went to the movies, which was fun. Saw Star Wars, but I’m not going to talk about it because I didn’t understand it (I have never seen Star Wars before, lol. Yeah, go on, tell me I’m deprived. Pfft. XD) Anyway, I digress. I got all dressed up and got to use my wonderful gold and bronze eye pencils, which are gorgeous. They’re Clarins and it comes in a set of six, with 2 lip pencils, 2 eye pencils (1 blue, 1 purple) and 2 half/half pencils (the gold and bronze ones, which can be used for both lips and eyes.) I love playing with golds, it’s so much fun. I hate gold in a metal, but I love metallics. (For metals I’m more of a white-gold/platinum/silver person myself.) So that was good.

Of course, study = more important than breathing this weekend, if I want to keep (or improve) my marks for the semester. Have to: English, Maths, German, German, German [see the importance??], BCT, Accounting, Drama.

Exam block goes like so:

Monday: English (8.40 start), Maths (12.45)
Tuesday: BCT (8.45), Accounting (12.45)
Wednesday: Free!
Thursday: German, German (Whenever I come in, basically.)
Friday: Drama (8.45), German (12.45)

And then I’m done, yay!

I’ve had the most ridiculous dream. I’m not entirely sure how it all linked together, but Alan, [or rather, Dead Seraphim] was involved in it, somehow. I think Alan had removed his layout and it was all, like, the colour of his old background, lol.

And then I dreamt about my school locker room and we turned it into a huge pool thing, lol. I don’t know how. And then we were doing a sort of memory/survey thing, about like, had you ever been to a strip poker game or something. Yeah, don’t ask me. I’m not in charge of my dreams.

Life’s been kind of insane with school. I don’t even remember if I was on here last night, but I was so tired it was ridiculous. I went to bed about 5 and woke up about 8:30 and did home work and study [badly needed] until about 11:30. So yeah, insane, lol.
